Enjoyed throughout the Meditteranean world, Baklava has long been considered a special treat. It has been a time honored tradition to serve these pastries at special occasions like marriage or birth. The Najjars learned to bake baklavas and other pastries back home in Tripoli. Just like in the old country, the Najjars use only the best ingredients such as pure butter, imported nuts and fragrant rosewater. The end result is a scrumtous, sweet and crunchy pastry that will tantalize your pallatte. The small mix includes the following: 5 pieces of Walnut Baklava, 4 pieces of the Lady Fingers, 5 pieces of the Half Moon Crunch and 1 piece of the Pistachio Burma.

Walnut Baklava (5 pieces): Our baklava is made with chopped California walnuts sandwiched between paper thin layers of buttery phyllo dough. Straight out of the oven, the baklava is then drizzled with a rosewater and sugar syrup. As the baklava cools down, the honeyed syrup seeps into the phyllo's delicate layers imparting a pleasing aroma and delectable taste.
Ingredients: Phyllo dough, butter, rosewater, sugar syrup, chopped walnuts and citric acid.

Half Moon Crunch (5 pieces): Shaped like a half moon on a starry night, these perfect pillows of sweet phyllo envelope chopped cashew nuts. Just like our baklavas, we drizzle our special sweet syrup over the hot pastries and allow the syrup's sweetness soak through the layers.
Ingredients: Phyllo dough, butter, chopped cashews, rosewater, sugar syrup and citric acid.

Lady Fingers (4 pieces): Delicate and beautiful like a lady, these "fingers" are thin layers phyllo and chopped walnuts that are delicately wrapped around wooden rods. Dusted with crushed pistachios, these cigar-like pastries are flaky and delicately sweet.
Ingredients: Phyllo dough, butter, chopped walnuts, rosewater, sugar syrup, crushed pistachios and citric acid.

Pistachio Burma (1 piece): Burma is a unique Middle Eastern pastry that has the crunchy texture of shredded wheat and the sweetness of a baklava. Sugar kissed shredded dough is carefully rolled and filled with premium pistachios. The Burma is then baked to a golden brown and finshed off with our special sweet rosewater syrup.

Ingredients: Flour, water, salt, citric acid, pistachios, butter, sugar and rosewater.

Shelf life: Can be stored at room temperature for up to six months.
